Mr. Helou brings significant management and business experience to every assignment, with a proven track record as a business operator. Pascal is highly experienced in the areas of general management, strategic planning, corporate finance and organizational design.
Pascal has planned and managed growth opportunities, turnarounds, downsizings and mergers and acquisitions, as well as completing the financings and restructurings associated with these corporate mandates.
He has also designed and implemented numerous strategic, operational, functional and situation specific plans, as well as complementary organizational structures and related human resource programs. Pascal is a pragmatic problem solver with high caliber analytical and quantitative skills.
Pascal began his career in the energy industry working for various affiliates of West Coast Energy. Following the unbundling of the ancillary assets from Union Gas to Union Energy, a process in which Pascal played a prominent role as a member of the strategic team, he went out on his own and built a successful professional services firm, selling the business in 2007. His new venture is Portico Ventures Corp.
Pascal has completed his MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He also has a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Macroeconomic Theory and Econometrics, and has an Honors Economics degree from the University of Toronto.
